High Temperature Lens Tube Viewing System

The SHICO Lens Tube System provides a means of viewing the hostile environment, of a boiler interior, furnace, or melting vessel. Each component of a Lens Tube System is specifically designed to meet the requirements of your application.

1. High Performance CCD Camera. SHICO High Performance CCD Camera are available in color black & white. When used in conjunction with a SHICO High-Temperature Housing, the High Performance CCD Cameras will withstand the harsh environment of high temperature viewing. Special Iris/Filter combinations are also available to allow viewing over a broad range of lighting conditions.
2. Lens Tube. The Lens Tube is an optical device designed to penetrate the furnace wall and provide straight on, or right angle viewing. Lens Tubes are available in various lengths and viewing angles to accommodate the needs.
3. Camera Mounting Arrangement. Supports the camera and high temperature housing. Provides secure mounting the wall sleeve, wall-box, or water shroud.
4. Wall sleeve. Provides a penetrating sleeve for mounting the camera and lens tube. Seals the furnace wall penetration hole. Use a wall sleeve for negative pressure applications. Also available : wall box, used for positive pressure applications. Water Shroud, used in furnace applications above 1500°F
5. Industrial Grade Monitor. Available in color or black & white. SHICO Industrial Grade monitors are designed for continuous 24-hour use in control room environments.
6. High-Temperature Camera Housing. Protects cameras operating in temperature up to 200°F. Passage within the housing provide fast transfer of heat to the cooling medium, which can be air from Cooling Device or circulating plant water.
7. Air Filter System. Using plant air, It provides clean, oil-free air to cool and cleanse the lens tube. The bypass filter permits uninterrupted operation while changing filters. Air compressor systems are also available as a backup or as a primary source of air.
